Southern Cross TaeKwon-Do

Founded in 1999 by Master Michael Wallace, Southern Cross TaeKwon-Do aims to preserve and teach the traditional Chang-Hun TaeKwon-Do in a non-competitive environment. Southern Cross TaeKwon-Do places emphasis on self improvement, driving every student to be the best they can be.

Southern Cross was founded in Botany and has operated continuously within the community for over two decades, whilst expanding to now incorporate training centres in Sydney, far north NSW and Switzerland.

TaeKwon Do is a Martial Art derived from an ancient form of unarmed combat in Korea approximately 2000 years ago. It is the art of ‘hand and foot fighting’. Tae meaning to jump or kick, Kwon denotes the fist and Do  means the art or way. The art of Tae Kwon Do is now widely dispersed throughout the world to the point were it has now become the most practiced art ever.

The practice of TaeKwon Do involves dynamic techniques of unarmed combat for self-defence purposes. True TaeKwon Do never once suggests an offensive use of the powerful techniques you learn

Be the best you can be.
